What is Google + Your Business

Google has just launched Google+ Your Business, which is a set of tools and products that will now help businesses to get closer to their customers. The foundation of Google + for your business is the Google+ Page which will provide your business’s identity on Google+.  

Google see Google+ Pages as a means of businesses being able to build deeper relationships with their customers allowing them to share their thoughts, links, photos and promotions with the right people. This could be a company offering a behind-the-scenes look at their product team in action? Or a chosen monthly sale or promotion?

Google has announced that the unique feature of Google + 1 for businesses is that you Get live with your customers, and have face-to-face feedback by holding multi-person video chats with customers all over the world.

The Google + for your business has various tools that are driven to making lasting connections with customers which is of course the main goal of this new Google product. The Google + for your business covers 3 main areas which is Share, Promote and Measure.  

1. Share

Communicating live with your customers and developing relationships with live chats in real time

• Hangouts

Have real conversations with the right people: Hold Hangouts to chat with your customers face-to-face and use Circles to share specific messages with specific groups of your followers.
Hangouts let businesses set up one-click video conversations with customers and colleagues alike. As soon as a customer is online they are able to connect with a business and chat to a representative. From a business perspective, you can get face-to-face product feedback, help customers with any enquire or queries that they may have or simply get to know personally. Another feature of hangouts is that you can collaborate with remote colleagues on shared documents in real time through all high-quality, easy-to-use video chat.

• Publish Posts

This feature allows businesses to communicate with their customers once they have landed on their page. One highlight is that you can use your Stream to post any relevant content, or upload photos and videos, and communicate with followers directly by asking questions that start discussions. Businesses can also make posts public so that potential customers can find them using search, or another way is to use Circles to tailor specific messages to specific followers. Circles are similar to face book groups where a business can categorize people.

• Manage Circles

There will be many different people who are interested in different parts of your business. This could be breaking news or live updates, company promotions, links, photos or communicating face-to-face with groups via easy-to-use video chat. The feature of Google+ lets you as business easily share the right things with the right customers.

2.Promote

The promote feature of Google + 1 allows businesses to promote their site and their Google+ page. A business can promote it them self using Google+ Direct Connect or the Google+ badge. People can recommend your business with the +1 button.

• Google+ badge

This allows businesses to connect their website to their Google+ Page by adding the Google+ badge to their site which then promotes their company to customers. The badge   connects their site to their Google + page. This is an enhanced version of the +1 button and has several features.

• Add your page to a circle directly from your site
• Install the Google+ icon which allows people who like your site to click the icon, where they will be taken to your Google+ page. Here they can add you to their circles, and be able to follow your posts from then on.

• Google+ Direct Connect

Direct Connect lets potential or existing customers enter '+' followed by the name of your page in Google search to get directly to your Google+ page. 

• +1 recommendation

People often turn to friends and family for help making decisions. The +1 button allows friends and family to recommend your business by +1

• Connect your +1's

This feature allows businesses to connect+1s for their website with +1s for their Google+ page and ads. Businesses need to create their page and put a snippet of code on their site.

• +1 on search

In the Online marketing world, a recommendation is good for any business and a recommendation from a friend is even better. The +1 annotations in Google search help promote these recommendations. When customers are searching for information, with +1 on search, the logic here is people visiting your site will see the +1s are more likely to stick around.

• +1 button sharing to Google

This is where businesses will install the +1 button on any of their web pages. Here when a visitor to your page clicks a +1 button, your specific content is shared on Google+ allowing people to discuss it with friends and reshare on social networks.
